On May 22, 2025, the NSS volunteers of GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana, solemnly observed National Anti-Terrorism Day by taking a pledge under the guidance of program coordinators Dr. Mini Sharma and Dr. Jagjit Singh. This observance aligns with India's annual commemoration of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was killed by a suicide bomber from the LTTE on May 21, 1991, in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu National Anti-Terrorism Day serves to raise awareness about the impact of terrorism and to promote peace, unity, and harmony among citizens. By participating in the pledge-taking ceremony, the NSS volunteers reaffirmed their commitment to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence, upholding the values of non-violence and tolerance. Such initiatives are crucial in educating the youth about the importance of national integrity and the collective responsibility to combat terrorism .
