As a part of the nationwide initiative to promote nutrition awareness, N.S.S. unit of G.H.G. Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar, celebrated Poshan Pakhwara from April 08-23, 2025.The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm and active student participation and was aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of proper nutrition, particularly focusing on the first 1000 days of life, which play a crucial role in a child's physical and cognitive development. In this series a poster making competition was organized on the theme "Nutrition and the First 1000 Days". Students from B.Ed., M.Ed. and PG Diploma classes took part enthusiastically in the competition, showcasing their creativity and understanding of nutritional needs during pregnancy and early childhood. The themes for the poster making competition included: Balanced diet for expectant mothers, Breastfeeding awareness, Introduction to complementary feeding, Preventing malnutrition and stunting.
